Work well underway on new Neighbourhood Centre at Linmere, Houghton Regis

It is always good to secure a planning consent for a client but it is even more rewarding to see a development being implemented and quickly coming out of the ground. Such is the case with the Linmere Neighbourhood Centre at Houghton Regis near Luton, Bedfordshire. In August 2024, CTPL secured Reserved Matters Approval on behalf of Brickhill Homes (Linmere) Limited for three retail units, a convenience store, a children’s nursery, 43 no. “affordable” apartments, a public square/events space, access, parking, landscaping and associated works on the Local Centre parcel between Waterslade Way & Lime Tree Drive at the Houghton Regis North Site 1. Linmere is a new urban extension to be comprised of 5,150 dwellings and other related development, which will be enhanced by the new Neighbourhood Centre, its affordable homes and community facilities. The build is expected to take about 18 months but is cracking on apace.
