Partial barn conversion in Shutford, North Oxfordshire

In March 2024, after an earlier refusal, CTPL were commissioned to apply for planning permission for the partial conversion of an existing barn - used as an indoor riding arena - to provide a new home for a client who wished to consolidate her various business, residential and recreational requirements together in Shutford, North Oxfordshire. Permission was secured in October 2024 and work started on the conversion works about a year later. The partial conversion was completed in just 6 months and the results are stunning. The scheme is not only a very sympathetic conversion, which enhances the appearance of the building and its setting, it also makes very effective use of the barn whilst providing a beautiful home for the client in very attractive rural surroundings.
